Detective Julian collects the following data: • On your device (localStorage): game progress, theme preference, and an anonymous identifier • On our server (anonymous players): score, time spent, hints used, and evidence reviews — linked to your anonymous ID • On our server (logged-in players): the same data, plus your email and play history
You may create an account using email or Google OAuth. Account creation is optional. Account data is stored in Supabase (our database provider) and used for authentication only. To delete your account and all associated data (including email, play history, and all gameplay statistics), contact support@juliancase.com. We will process your deletion request within 30 days.
We collect and use your data for the following purposes only: • Providing the game service and saving your progress • Authenticating and managing user accounts • Analyzing and improving the game • Supporting development through advertising (in the future) • Monitoring site performance and stability
We collect and process your personal data based on the following legal grounds under the Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (PDPA): • Contractual basis: For account data (email, authentication) necessary to provide the service you requested • Legitimate interest: For gameplay statistics and anonymous identifiers, used to analyze and improve the game • Consent: For analytics cookies (Google Analytics) and future advertising cookies
Under the Personal Data Protection Act, you have the following rights: • Right of access — request a copy of your personal data • Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate data • Right to erasure — request deletion of your personal data • Right to restriction — request temporary suspension of data processing • Right to data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format • Right to object — object to certain processing of your data • Right to withdraw consent — withdraw consent at any time • Right to lodge a complaint — file a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Committee if you believe your rights have been violated To exercise any of these rights, contact support@juliancase.com. We use Google Analytics to understand how the game is used, such as player count, which questions are hardest, and time spent playing. Google Analytics uses cookies (_ga, _gid) to track usage data. All data collected is aggregated and non-identifying, and is retained for 14 months. We also use Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights to monitor site performance. The data collected is aggregated page load metrics and is non-identifying. Analytics cookies are only loaded after you provide consent through the Cookie Banner.
We retain your data for the following periods: • Account data: until you request account deletion • Gameplay statistics (logged-in users): until you request account deletion • Gameplay statistics (anonymous players): 24 months from last play date • Google Analytics cookies: 14 months • Anonymous identifier (localStorage): until you clear your browser data After these periods, we will delete or anonymize the data.
We use the following third-party providers to operate the game: • Supabase — database and authentication • Google Analytics — usage analytics • Google — sign-in with Google (OAuth) • Vercel — hosting, analytics, and Speed Insights We do not sell your personal data to third parties. The providers above access data only as necessary to deliver their services.
Your data may be transferred to and stored on servers outside of Thailand through our service providers: Supabase, Google, and Vercel. This transfer is necessary to provide the game service you requested. These providers maintain appropriate data security measures.
We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data, including data encryption, secure connections (HTTPS), and access controls. However, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
In the future, the game may show ads via Google AdSense or rewarded ads to support development. These ad providers may use cookies or device identifiers according to their own policies.
If this policy changes, we will update the date above. Continued use of the game constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
